Celox sponsor Meditech Global ambulances at BTCC
We’ve teamed up with Meditech Global to sponsor the ambulance crews during the 2016 BTCC (British Touring Car Championship).
The British Touring Car Championship or BTCC is a motor racing championship for production-based touring cars held across England and Scotland. The BTCC features a mix of professional motor racing teams and privately funded amateur drivers competing in highly modified versions of family cars which are sold to the general public and conform to the technical regulations for the championship. The 2016 season will be the 59th BTTC season.
As the uniform sponsor, the Celox name will now feature on ambulance crew uniforms as well as feature on both the track side ambulances. Meditech Global are a team of experienced professionals delivering pre-hospital medical, rescue and training services from their headquarters at the famous Rockingham Motor Speedway, Europe’s fastest racing circuit. As the principal medical care provider at Rockingham, Meditech Global also provide pre-hospital medical support to Thruxton Circuit, BTCC and also Silverstone. Having supported the Silverstone medical team since 2013, Meditech Global have been trackside during numerous events held at this prestigious racing venue including World Endurance Championship and the Formula One British Grand Prix. |
Meditech Global paramedic and technician crewed ambulances can be found stationed around Silverstone at Becketts, National Pits, Stowe and Farm corners working alongside doctors, paramedics and extrication teams, ready to respond where needed.
Having used Celox during trackside open-wound injuries, Meditech Global crews are well placed to apply the Celox brand whenever they attend a motorsport event. Following European Resuscitation guidelines Meditech paramedics are trained in the use of haemostatic dressings to stop bleeding from trauma injuries and choose to carry Celox Rapid, the fastest acting haemostatic gauze that can stop even arterial bleeding in just 60 seconds.
