The most recent addition to the CELOX product range is CELOX Rapid, our fastest-acting, high-density hemostatic gauze, working independent of the clotting cascade1
CELOX Rapid contains our latest hemostatic technology with patented Chito-R augmented chitosan, giving fast emergency treatment in moderate to severe bleeding situations. The gelling action concentrates platelets to form a mechanical gel like clot that plugs the bleeding source and seals the wound. By creating a physical barrier and through the activation and concentration of platelets CELOX stops bleeding and reduces the risk of re-bleed.
Faster treatment time may improve casualty survival and aid treatment of multiple casualties.
Available in a 3in x 5ft hemostatic gauze with an X-Ray detectable strip.
For use by trained emergency responders, indicated for temporary external use to control moderate to severe bleeding, including lacerations, minor cuts and abrasions.
