Happy birthday CELOX! It is now ten years since CELOX received the first FDA clearance and made the first sale in the US. Since then we have developed several new products, most recently CELOX RAPID Gauze, however all of the CELOX hemostatic products use the same granules that were first applied in 2006. We’ve had some significant milstones along the way:
2006 – first sale of CELOX.
2008 – CELOX-A applicator launched.
2008 – The first significant independent laboratory test of CELOX stopping bleeding in a major injury. CELOX is the only product to achieve 100 % success in the study.
2009 – CELOX Gauze launched.
2011 – FOXSEAL chest seal launched.
2011 – CELOX Rapid Gauze first launched.
2011 – First published papers of human use of CELOX in action.
2012 – Office of Naval Research laboratory study finds 90 % survival for CELOX Gauze.
2014 – CoTCCC publishes recommendations including CELOX Gauze for the first time.
