AVARUS™ Border Foam dressings are designed to be used as part of a pressure injury prevention protocol† and are ideal for partial and full thickness wounds with drainage.

†The prophylactic use of multilayer silicone foam dressing should be used as part of or in addition to a comprehensive Pressure Injury Prevention Protocol. Pressure Injury Prevention protocols must be implemented even when a dressing is being used and often when the use of a dressing has been discontinued. For full details please refer to the 2019 NPIAP guidelines. Factors such as pressure shear and increased skin temperature and humidity (microclimate) have been identified as the most important factors in pressure injury development.
